How the TV works
The TV is a big part of my life. I use the TV almost every day, although I wonder how the TV works. I have many different theories of how the TV works and this is one of them.
Let us imagine that we are watching the CNN news. First, I think the CNN studio people talk about the news. As they are talking, people video tape them. Then, that video tape goes to the Veirzon network. Once it got to the network, they send us the video tape through a cable to our cable box.
Now I have just talked to my dad and learned the real answer. He says it is pretty close to my theory. I hope that he is correct. First, The CNN studio transmits their news to a sattelite. Then, the Verizon network collects the signal and sends it to our cable box at home. Then once I turn on the TV, I see the news!
I never thought that a TV show takes so many steps to get to my TV. I was so suprised when I learned that this process happens in less than a second. Now I wonder how my video games work!
