Who will win ICC champions trophy
The ICC champions trophy stands for International Cricket Council. Cricket is a sport close to baseball, with slightly different rules. In the 2009, ICC champions trophy there are 8 teams. India, Australia,England, Sri Lanka, Paskistan, West Indies, South Africa and New Zealand. The 8 teams are broken into two groups, group A and group B. In group A their is India, Pakistan, Australia and West Indies. In group B there is South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and England. In the ICC champions trophy there are three rounds of one-day games during hte month of september-October.
The first round is were every one plays withen their own group so each team plays everyone in their group once. Then two teams get elimnited if they did not win two games. If three teams win two games then they look at which two teams finshed their games the fastest. At the end, two teams from each group goes to the goes to the semi finals or the second round. Their each team play one team on the other group. The winners of those two games go to the last round the final . The two winners play each other and the winner's teams gets the champions trophy and a special suit. The champions trophy comes around very rare. It only comes around every 1 or 2 years. So I am guessing it is each teams dream to get the champions trophy.
Who will win? I think India, Australia and South Africa have a pretty good chance considering that there are ranked the top three teams in cricket. But Pakistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka and New Zealand have pretty good pitcher to finsh up the game quicky. Although England are winning most of their games this year. Also, looking at the staticts last year all the good teams lost in the first round. But the thing is that all the games this year, every team that one has won the toss.
Now looking at the statistics, I don't think I can predict who the winner is. Why? Well all the teams are good and like I said, all the teams that won the toss won the game. So the winning team is the luckiest team.
